Getting Started

Welcome to NexaDeck! This guide will get you from zero to your first karaoke show in just a few minutes.

1Create Your Account

Head to abydonian.com and sign up with your email address. Check your inbox for a verification email and click the link to activate your account. Once verified, you can log in to your portal dashboard.

2Download NexaDeck

From your portal dashboard, navigate to the Downloads section. Choose the installer for your platform:

  • macOS — Intel or Apple Silicon (.dmg)
  • Windows — 64-bit installer (.msi)
  • Linux — AppImage or .deb package

Run the installer and launch NexaDeck. Enter your license key when prompted to activate the app on your machine.

3Import Your Library

On first launch, NexaDeck walks you through importing your karaoke files. Point it at a folder containing your tracks and it will scan and index everything automatically. Supported formats include:

  • CDG+MP3 — standard karaoke disc format (paired files)
  • MP4 — video karaoke files with embedded lyrics
  • ZIP — archived CDG+MP3 pairs (extracted automatically)

You can add more folders later from Settings → Library.

4Set Up Your Show

  1. Click New Show from the main screen to create a show session.
  2. Add singers by clicking the + button in the rotation panel and typing their name.
  3. Search your library for a song using the search bar, then drag it onto a singer or into the queue.

The rotation automatically cycles through singers in order. You can reorder singers or songs at any time by dragging them.

5Connect to NexaLiveOptional

Want your audience to browse songs and submit requests from their phones? Enable cloud sync in Settings → NexaLive and sign in with your Abydonian account.

Once connected, your show appears on nexalive.app where guests can search your library and submit song requests in real time. Requests appear directly in your NexaDeck queue.

6Run Your First Show

Here is the quick workflow to get music playing:

  1. Start the show — click the play button on your show session.
  2. Add a singer — enter their name in the rotation panel.
  3. Find a song — type in the search bar to search by title or artist.
  4. Queue it up — drag the song onto the singer or click the + button.
  5. Play — hit play and the lyrics appear on your external display.
